A stranger’s apartment, some skater kids in the park, as well as people and situations randomly observed on the street form the background in front of which Remote takes place. The observing and the cinematic and photographic recording of persons give rise to a personal, essay-like approach to an area between close and far, familiar and unfamiliar, private and public.
Remote was produced within the framework of a Impakt Works/EMARE residency with the support of the City of Utrecht and was awarded at the 15th Festival for Video and Film blicke aus dem ruhrgebiet Bochum/Germany.

Eine fremde Wohnung, ein Skaterclique im Park und zufällig auf der Straße beobachtete Leute und Situationen bilden den Hintergrund, vor dem sich Remote abspielt. Das Beobachten und die filmische bzw. fotografische Aufzeichnung von Personen werden zum Anlass für eine persönliche, essay-artige Annäherung an ein Feld zwischen nah und fern, vertraut und fremd, privat und öffentlich.
Remote wurde im Rahmen einer Impakt Works/EMARE Residenz mit Unterstützung der Stadt Utrecht produziert und wurde auf dem 15. Festival für Video und Film blicke aus dem ruhrgebiet Bochum ausgezeichnet.
